Retired Layouts
The layouts on this page have been retired. Although they have gone from the exhibition circuit they have not been forgotten and are remembered here.
Abbotsbrooke - N gauge
During the 1800's everybody wanted a railway connected to their town or village to move people and goods traffic. But many succumbed to the closing axe due to lack of patronage and increasing running costs together with the competition of the motor vehicle. Abbotsbrooke represents just one of these closed railways. Fortunately the preservation movement was able to purchase the line and then setup a preserved railway.

New Clifton
New Clifton - a tramway layout.

Pindleton
Pindleton is based on a cross country mainline station and associated goods yard serving the town some three miles distant. Fortunately a small villiage sprang up around the station and this has been depicted on the layout. The period is set around the late 50s to early 60s, so steam is predominant with the occasional foray of of a diesel.
