West Somerset Railway Diorama

This diorama depicts part of the West Somerset Railway Association’s annual Steam and Vintage Rally held at Norton Fitzwarren on the first weekend in August, with their forthcoming 2019 event being the thirty second one held.  The site proved to be an ideal location for the rally which had outgrown the site at Bishops Lydeard.  Access to the site is from the B3227 by going over the Allerford Bridge, with the rally, exhibiting traction engines and other preserved vehicles, taking place in the fields around and within the Norton Triangle tracks.  To add interest various items of rolling stock was stabled on the stub track of the former Barnstable branch within the triangle.
